MADONON

A hut in the rock overlooking the Livigno valley.

One of the most panoramic view points in Livigno, a magic place where reigns the Madonon statue, protectress of the Mountain.

It’s a special place, which opens the view on one hand on the entire Livigno valley, and on the other hand on a 360° panorama which goes from the mountains of the Ortles- Cevedale to the Bernina group.

A place as magic as accessible, it’s placed indeed at only 50 minutes walking from the Carosello 3000 peak, with a slightly uphill, but not difficult path.

At the Madonon it’s possible to relax on the benches placed overhanging the valley, enjoy a hot drink preparred in the particular baitel built in the rocks (it’s provided with a fully furnished kitchen), or going up at the telescope (on the small mountain just above the baitel), where admiring and discovering the names of the surrounding peaks.

The path is very easy and well signed: from Carosello 3000 arrive until the top station of the Federia chairlift, and from there follow the path that goes on at middle mountain, with view on the Canton valley first, and then, on the other side, on the Bernina and Palù peaks.
